The Statistical Training Institute (STI), is part of the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD), was established in May 2011 under Article 5 of Law No. 7 of 2008, which requires SCAD to establish an institute for statistical training for the purpose of improving the statistical capability in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Article (5) of Law No. (5) of 2021 Reorganizing the Statistics Center - Abu Dhabi, amended the STI mandate to become: “Organizing the institute and preparing its own plans, training programs and systems to support Developing statistical capabilities and enabling government agencies to produce official statistics Statistical data and contribution to training and strengthening statistical capabilities”
To achieve this, STI engages in the design of fit-for-purpose, high-quality training programs designed to strengthen the data, data science, statistical capabilities and future foresight skills of individuals and organizations involved in the production of official statistics. STI offers a wide range of programs at varying levels of technical difficulty. STI services expands beyond the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to deliver the capability development programs which satisfy the emerging needs of statistical offices and other government and private sector entities across the GCC and middle east.
